We will listen to your concerns and provide you with information so you can make the best-informed decisions you can for you and your baby.

sick childPreSchool and Elementary School

During the Pre-School and Elementary School years, at least an annual visit is recommended.  As we do for infants, we continue to monitor proper growth and development and to continue vaccination schedules.  Some new vaccines and booster shots are only given to older children.

As children are exposed to many other children in school settings, more germs are shared and there will be times when your child comes home not feeling so well. We can help determine if this is a cold, flu or something more serious.

We are available every step of the way.

Middle and High School

As your child matures, they go through life’s many significant biological, cognitive, emotional, and social changes. By continuing annual visits we can help you detect signs of trouble in body or mind.  Consider these types of questions:

    • Is your child at a healthy weight?
    • Is your child eating correctly?
    • Are there signs of tobacco, alcohol or drug usage?
    • Are there other signs of possible mental illness?

Let us assist you in helping your child turn into a healthy, well-adjusted, young adult.

After High School

Once past High School age, good health should be a part of their lives.  They should feel comfortable speaking with our doctors and know when to come in for help.

If your child goes off to college, it is very important to have them vaccinated for meningitis as young adults in dormitory settings are more likely to be exposed to the meningococcal bacteria Neisseria meningitidis. Not all, but many forms of this potentially deadly disease are preventable with vaccine.

Call us today for an appointment. We are looking forward to meeting you and your child.
